Sukh Sagar

We had been there for dinner a couple of days ago. The wait is long and we found the service to be a little slow. We took our baby boy (8 months) along and it took us almost 20 min to get a baby chair!

As far as the food is concerned, I should say that the servings are pretty generous. We ordered one starter - thread panneer and a sukh sagar speciality for main course (a 2-in-1 dish!). They have a very good spread of starters and we found the thread panneer to be really delicious! However the sukh saagar speciality was a dampner!

Worth a try for the starters.... otherwise nothing great to offer...

the best part is the great view - & thats about it.

the wait is emabarassing since now its practically on the road .and once you do get in the service is very slow & the food is passable.

the place is certainly only for the die hard loyals who do not want to venture out of karama & dont mind how the food tastes like.

A tad over-rated and over-priced for what you get. Our family used to visit regularly for their Chilly Idlis. Used to is the operative word. Long waits, parking challenges are some other reasons to visit less often. A little 'sharpening the saw' for the waiters and the management will put SS back in the top 10.

I love their Dal Tarka - Best in Dubai. Most of the dishes are very good.

Service needs a super-lift. Staff cannot handle the downpour of customers esp. on weekends. This restaurant is full in the evenings through out the week by the way. Nice ambience, the tables are a bit small , can get crowded for 4 on one table. And yes, when you are waiting outside ( yes they keep you waiting outside on a bench in the heat ) If you give your name & expect to be called in 30mins, It very rarely happens as they cannot manage the crowd & some smart alec, pushes his way in as the staff are 'too friendly'.If you are persistent, you may have your dinner after 1hour of waiting.When you place the order, it takes time & they often forget, so you have to remind them again as well. Al in all, if you like the food & dont care of the service, this place is good.

Great food, ambience and friendly servers. Hygiene is immaculate as the kitchens are all open & completely visible! Even the restrooms are fantastic & modern.

Sukh Sagar has very effectively carried on their tradition of over 45 years from India & is now Dubai's premier eatery ... I highly recommend it!!

Good food. Their South Indian breakfast is worth getting up in the morning and going for. The mango preparations in season are fantastic. All the food we have tried there has been great.

The service leaves much to be desired. The waiters are a sullen lot, seeming most disinterested in attending to you. They seem to be working under duress and the food takes a long time coming.

The cleanliness of the tables and the washrooms leaves much to be desired.

But if you can overlook these things (don't venture anywhere near the washroom area), the food is good.
