Itsu

The newly revamped menu is really cool and offers a fresh look into the Sushi world..even my kids love em here. Could request them for more choices on the belt !

I would like to comment on this post. I have been to itsu recently and i have noticed a huge change and improvement in service and quality i have heard that there has been a change in management in the past few months. They will be launching their new menu very soon as well. I highly recommend that every sushi and japanese food fan visit Itsu for a great new experience.

My husband and I went to Itsu at the Marina Walk around 7ish in the evening on Saturday, the restaurant was empty. We ordered Beef Teriyaki, and Traditional 12 pc sushi/sashimi combo. We specifically requested that the beef be medium rare, but it was overcooked, the teriyaki sauce was ok, the steamed rice tasted funny, kinda chalky and mealy. I have eaten all kinds of rice before and have never tasted such awful rice ever. The sushi/sashimi combo was a total shock. The sashimis consisted of two 3cmx.5cmx1.5cm salmon, two tuna and two triangular shaped (size of half of my pinky) white fish. The sushi consisted of two imitation crab meat, two japanese yellow tofu and two rice stuffed tofu. I didn't order a vegetarian sushi and shrunken sashimi but that's what showed up on my table. We asked the waitress that we didn't want tofu, so after 10 minutes, she came back with the tofu replaced by a pair of salmon and tuna sushi, the fish was sliced so thin that you could see through them against the light. To make matter worse, the sashimi tasted really bad. How can they serve rotten fish to customers? We were very disappointed and outraged by the extreme poor quality of food. For the same amount of money, each of us could have gotten a delicious fresh salmon lover bento and spicy tuna maki roll from Sumo. If you don't want to chance food poisoning at Itsu, I would advise staying away from that place. I will never eat there again even if they pay me!
