What can I say, I had a craving for spaghetti bolognese on eveing so I returned. I wanted a light salad for a starter so I ordered the inslata caprese. What I got was a ball of mozarella big enough to gag a camel on top of slices of tomatoes with some pesto dotted around the edge of the plate and olive oil drizzled over the top. The spaghetti was good but I has the sneaking suspicion that the sauce came out of a can.

I expected better from a top rated restaurant. Yes, the decore is beautiful and the staff well trained and fast. However, I'm form New Orleans where Italian is a way of life. I can open the phone book blindfolded and point to a better Italian restaurant than BICE. I has the calamri starter. The calamari was only the big body rings. The coating was basically pure flour and added nothing to the flavor. The calamari was almost rubbery, and the tomato sauce for dipping was thin and bland. I had the seafood linguini for a main. The pasta was overcooked. While the seafood in it was of excellent quality, the sauce was insipid. I would have expected bits of onion, galic and chnks of tomato. Instead it was a thin red broth. Sorry, folks, but the chef should immediately resign and apprentice himself the Chef Andrea in New Orleans and learn how to cook.

Great service and truly impressive atmosphere however the pasta was under cooked and over salted.I was expecting alot better from the No2 voted Italian in Dubai.

Anti-pasta were out of this world. You can spend hours exploring the delights of the food here. I had Salmon as my main but to be quite honest I was full after having anti-pasta. Deserts were to die for, especially chocolate cake with a rich sauce in the middle! Highly recommended for somewhere special to din.
