The Rupee Room

i like rupee room table service and delivery service. They are CUSTOMER MANIAC. They give preference to customer who wants preferences. I ordered a delivery and the guy told me about one hour for delivering the food to J B R. I called again to cancel my order because it is too long for delivery because i have to leave for airport. But the guy named as Uday satisfy me by telling me that i will be delivrying your food in half an hour. I got my food in the commited time.I will really appriciate that guy for fullfilling his commitment. thank you.

Always eat at Rupee Room when we come to Dubai, Bobby's food & service is as good here in Dubai as what made him his fortune back in Glasgow.
Keep up the great work Mr Sandhu

We had an average meal at the Rupee room with ok service but our gripe was that the restuarant was absolutely freezing cold. Even our ankles were blue. We asked twice whether they could turn down the ac (it is winter here after all) and we were just met with blank smiley shrugs. We couldnt leave as the food had just arrived and ended up putting napkins on our ankles and around our shoulders !! A very strange and unpleasant experience. Actually there is also a Japanese restaurant in the Marina Walk that is so cold that we have often walked in and straight out again and the other day I saw the waitress shivering as well. The place is always empty and Im not surprised. Dont the restuarant managers get it?

The food arrived before the drinks. It took only few minutes for the food to be prepared and it was not very warm. I suspected this was because it was taken out of the fridge and not properly heated. This was confirmed as the rice had lumps. The taste of the food was OK.

Nice decor and atmosphere. Not very impressed with food. Chicken was chewy, almost inedible, which was a shame as the sauce was quite flavoursome. Overall, not very impressed, particularly as it is quite pricey for what it is.

Having been told the Rupee room was an excellent indian I looked forward to my meal. I was so disappointed, as a Scot i was delighted to see Haggis pakora and Irn Bru on the menu - When ordered they had neither. The food was the most bland i have ever tasted in an indian. The nan breads were soggy and the service was very poor. If you are used to the high standard of Indian restaurants in the UK you might be very let down by the Rupee Room - When I complained I was told that the only serve their food with medium spices, which still does not explain the lack of taste.
