Vu's

Vu' s - definitely worth it on the view, that alone with the decor of the restaurant and the staff makes the place!!. Food however.... even though no major complaints, we must work out the flavor combinations, we went from superbly tasting and cooked to blend and fishy....

It is a bit of a roller coaster which is disapointing, scampi wrapped in tuna with an avocado sauce - DOES NOT WORK chef!!! the flavors just don't marry. I had the set menu with the wine pairing, fairly expensive, but if properly executed it would have been a winner... however at this point it does leave a lot to be desired. I believe that a few tweaks on the menu and you would have one of the best restaurants in Dubai, certainly the location and staff are up to par. All in all a 7 out of 10. Worth going though, even if just for the "VU"....

I visited Vu's on a couple of ocasion recently,

Definetly the Best place to take your Bussines partner for Lunch in the Town,

Last week I celebrated my Birthday there,We had a table next to the window.,amazing view over the City,The stuff made feel us very special,charming and atentive serviece, We went for Chef Tatsing Menu ,wich was nothing but excellent..

The food was full of flavour and perfectly cook,ed,although some of the combination sound ed strange to me,was trully wonderfull experience!

We loved it!

Service charming but the chef is trying too hard. If the chef went back to basics or at least stopped making ice cream out of snow crab (what was that all about?) and capitalised on the "vu" they'd be a lot better off. Come for the view not the food!

We visited Vu on a Friday night and were most disappointed, after hearing such nice things about the place. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the service was excellent. The food on the other hand was terrible. For the starters I had the scallops. It looked and tasted like a stuffed crab claw. My husband had the chicken & smoked eel tortellini – pasta was over firm and the filling was a tasteless paste. I tasted his and it was so bad. For Mains, not a lot to choose from, I had the baby chicken leg and breast. Not much flavor at all to it and not very filling. Husband had the pheasant and said it was very tough. I didn't mind paying the high prices as we were celebrating, but we both agreed this was one of our worst meals in Dubai.

I got the detox lunch. It was anything but good. The fish was bland and the dessert was less than average. All in all it was a fairly tasteless meal, which I had anticipated, as 'healthy' food in Dubai is completely sub-standard. That being said, the view is wonderful, particularly during the daytime.

nice place to have a romantic evening with the one you love...The ambience is warm and cozy, with accurate setting of light and music. Now who can forget the much desired and tempting food with tantalizing aroma which add galore to the evening...Overall a nice place to have a ravishing evening
