Growing up in a highly concentrated black area in Moss-Side, Manchester, England and also being from carribean descent. I am used to a vast range of carribean takeaways, restaurants and adoptive grannies sunday specials. You name it. Anything west indian. I've tasted it a 100 x over in every carribean tasting style possible... Until I came to dubai and ate in BLUEFIELDS. I thought that I had seen and tasted it all. I came here thinking that I had to give up west indian food forever as there would be no outlet whatsoever for me to have my 2nd best vice after sex WEST INDIAN FOOD. Boy was i gladly proved WRONG. This place has the title as BEST JAMAICAN TASTING FOOD IN THE WORLD... 10/10

Friends offered rave reviews about Bluefields Restaurant a couple of months before I was due to visit Dubai in November. It was therefore placed high on my list of places to eat and, I am happy to confirm that, for me, it was worthy of praise.
When we arrived at Bluefields (to celebrate my friend's birthday) it was closed, although the door was open. However, the wonderful chef asked us to sit and he would cook for us.
The food tasted better, by far, than the majority of caribbean restaurants I have visited in London and the staff are kind and welcoming.
Thank you Mr Chef for taking your personal time to cook for us and for not sending us away.

Came here with my family 2 days ago after having read some of the reviews expressed here. It's a small place. The charming lady who runs the it and answers the phone with a slight english accent is the heart and soul of this place. The menu like the Grannys rice dish gave the feeling of an authentic home food.
Vignettes of Carribean life plastered on one side of the wall with Bob Marley songs played on TV on the other, a neat aquarium in one corner with a fairly large sail ship replica hanging above it completed the picture.
The food was pretty good. We had the salty fish fritters for starters and for the mains a mix grill platter, pumpkin rice, mix veg dish with coconut curry and a giant sized kids burger. I recommend the Dhs 20 carribean drink which was different from anything else I had tasted and didn't seem too heavy. Tropical juice (mixed fruit) my wife liked though I didn't fancy it that much.
The tables were small for a family of 4 and rickety and the crowd didn't justify the place. There was just one other gent there. Trying Carribean food for the first time was a refreshingly different experience and hope people from different culinary regions try it out as well.

This is a hidden gem in Dubai - lovely restaurant with agreat owner. She was so friendly and accommodating and the food came out very quickly. We had the oxtail and the mixed meat grill and both were absolutely amazing - very well made and tasty. The presentation was also very nice. The starters of festival was also very nice - really enjoyed it. Thanks for making our last meal in Dubal very very enjoyable. We wish you luck in Dubai.

As good as any Caribbean restaurant in London - and I've been to a few!
Authentic menu, decent service; the only thing missing is loud Reggae blaring from BMWs parked outside!
Excellent!

I stumbled across Bluefields restaurant and can only say the food is truly delightful. The presentation is brillant, the flavour and taste is mouthwatering and the menu selection spot on.
The food does take a little while to come out of the kitchen but when it does it is well worth the wait.
All of that combined with plenty of parking out side the front makes this a perfect spot for a taste of the carribbean in the middle east.
Who says you cant have your cake and eat it !!
