Great Slippage of Standards.

A group of 14 visited this branch of TGKF last night, 27/8.

It was obvious within the first few minutes the inabilty of the staff to handle a Friday full house. Suffice to sa,y then onwards the evening was a huge dissapointment for all of us.

Inadequate air conditioning, smoke filled interior did not help. The staff struggled to come around with the various food courses at an acceptable pace. It took them almost 10 minutes between servings and that too one peice each. Repeats were tardy in coming and simple requests for bread or glasses took ages and atleast 2 to 3 reminders to arrive.

The food veg and non veg was clearly rushed out of the kitchen consistently underdone/cooked. Some kababs lacked salt, some needed more time on the griddle or the Tandoor. The initial breads served were cold and half-baked. The biryani was dry, bland and an apology for a famous dish. The desert items were less than acceptable. Special mention must be made of probably the worst kulfi we have ever been treated to.

TGKF had set high standards and diners kept coming back.

The mangement must organise themselves better and take srious views of reviews like mine.

I might come across a tad harsh but the lingering after taste was one of feeling cheated of good money for a slipshod experience.

love d food! d concept n evrythng abt it!

v ate at d arabian center outlet, n d staff wz excellent, attentive, n informative. cant wait 2 go bak agn.

I have been to Great Kabab Factory both in Dubai and Muscat at least a dozen times.

Food, service, decor, people are all great. Delicious and wonderful.

The biggest problem is that there is no option and it has single fixed menu. The amount of food served is tooooooo much and is not enjoyable, if you are not empty stomach hungry.

The place is not for casual clients and for light eaters it is expensive.

Variations in what you can order and what you can eat, will make the restaurant more popular, more repeat business. Being in a FOOD COURT in Dubai, your business target are the people who have come to Dubai Mall and want to enjoy light and tasty meal.

If above is done I will be very regular customer.

saw it on the tv, looked awesome. seems like the whole place is full of kabab's of all kinds without an exception of anything.

when we went there it said they had a buffet well we agreed and walked in paid over US$ 30/ head 2 of us, first we were served with a small plate having water melon, sliced tomato and lettuce.

then came along each kabab with a small nan as half the size of your palm i mean tell me something how in the hell can you wait for another nan for over 5 mins when you already gulped down what he just gave you.

service i must say is extra ordinary but the whole concept to me seems totally stupid they claim to say its a buffet but seriously i would have been happy if i dined at Rupee Lounge at marina walk or added the same amount US$ 130 + 130 and dined in a 5 start indian rest.

i have dined everywhere but i can surely say they are just one of the rest not the best.
